Description: Come join in the fun of making a jacket that is an exciting and eye catching addition to your wardrobe. Good design has an ageless appeal and this garment can be made a dozen times and never look the same. In this class we are going to make a jacket with a loose front lining for a layered look and add cording for design detail. The soft comfortable design offers endless opportunities to show off a special fabric. Bring your treasures and make your own original. Never has a simple shape been able to do so much!

The class is divided into 3 parts as shown below:

Part II: Sizing, Cutting and Preparing to Sew	Day 1 3 hours	Notebook Park Bench Pattern #7 (Denver City Park) Medium drape fabrics: 2-1/2 yards of one fabric 1 yard for front lining OR 1 yard of fabric for the front 2 yards for the back and sleeves 1 yard for the front lining Several 1/4 yard pieces of different colors and textures of fabric for trims Trims (optional braids, edging, ribbons and/or 1/4 yard of a contrasting color and/or textures) Sewing supplies
Part III: Sit and Sew	Day 2 6 hours	Same as for Part II plus: Sewing Machine Serger (optional for finishing seams)
