Description: This class is for beginners as well as advanced students. In this 1-day class you will learn how to look at your own inspirational original photograph, and learn how to create a pattern to convert this photo into fabric art. All drawing is simple tracing. We will explore picture composition, how to give your selection perspective, depth, 3-dimensionality, how to enhance your focal point and most important aspect of art quilting: how to use and recognize VALUE in your photos and translate it into your pattern. You will also learn to proportionately enlarge your drawing and prepare templates for your fabric art piece.

The teacher will provide the “perfect gray scale” fabric used in the critical “Value-lizing” step of the process. This gray scale is a must have tool for creating amazing quilts and selecting the correct fabric for them. There is a kit fee payable to the teacher of $8.00.

Class Class Duration: One session of 6 hours.
