Description:
If you love the look of all those gorgeous appliquéd quilts out there,
but think you don't have the time to make one,
please join us for this class to learn machine appliqué techniques that will speed up the process.
The March 6th class will introduce you to "Invisible Machine Appliqué". Learn how to get the look and supple feel of needle-turned, hand appliqué in a fraction of the time! This technique will open up whole new WORLDS of projects for you. A kit will be available from the instructor which will contain all the specialized supplies necessary for you to practice this technique, including a pattern, background fabric and fabric for flowers, stems and leaves. Kit fee is $12 payable to the instructor at class. No other pattern or book is required for the class, but you are encouraged to bring a pattern that YOU want to tackle. The instructor will also bring a sampling of patterns and we will discuss how to go about adapting them to this method of appliqué. At the March 26th class, learn to machine appliqué using a raw-edge fusible, finished with a tiny "blanket stitch" on your sewing machine for a casual look. We will be using Jeri Kelly's quick and easy "Heart Trio" wall hanging pattern. Sign up for either or both of these really fun classes! Class Duration: 6 hours. Size: 4 - 12 Pre-requisites: Basic sewing skills. Materials required:
