This beautiful design is based upon the historic Signal Lights block. It’s updated with large-scale blocks, quickly cut with the Fast2Cut rulers, and a “faux piecing” technique to create the smaller triangles. Simplified blocks at the outer edges create a border effect. This throwsized quilt features 16 blocks, and could easily be enlarged for a quick stash-busting bed quilt! Collect a wide range of scraps, fat quarters or small pieces of fabric in your favorite color combinations. Suggestion: one group of fabrics is primarily dark value, and the 2nd group is light-to-medium value. If you are interested in trying the technique and want a quick achievable project that you can finish in one day, create a Harbor Lights Table runner from 3 or 4 blocks! The table runners provide a great small project to practice your machine or hand quilting, and make ideal gifts for family and friends.
