Quilt Appraisal

Description:  Ever wonder why one quilt is worth more than another, or how experts determine how much a quilt is worth? Find out from Julia Zgliniec, a highly-experiencd and certified Quilt Appraiser by the American Quilter's Society. Using examples from her collection, she will explain how textiles are valued, what an appraiser looks for, and how to rate quality and condition. She will also explain the differences in appraising antique quilts and contemporary quilts. Her informative talk will include time for questions and attendees may bring items for discussion (Please note that no formal appraisals or values will be given.) Class Class Duration:  One (1) session of 2 hours. Size:  Up to 35 Pre-requisites:  None. Materials required:  None.
