Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!

I didn't expect to be saying this quite so soon, but "Ho! Ho! Ho!". Yup, we've just got in a large selection of heartwarming Christmas fabrics in for you to fawn over and inspire you to start those holiday projects. You'll see Benartex, Moda and others including some gorgeous jelly rolls on our Featured Items page. And, on that page, you'll see yet another new Quilter's Paradise creation: the 12 inch square Press Pal^TM Ironing Board.

Well, I've done it again ... The week before last my husband built some more fabric shelves for the shop and literally 10 minutes after he got them installed, a shipment of 100 bolts of new fabric arrived. Of course, more has arrived so he's just finishing up building even more shelves all the while making it clear to me that we've got to sell a bunch of fabric 'cause he's going on a "fabric shelf building moratorium"! Hmmmmm ... So, we're going to have a Memorial Day Weekend Sale on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday May 25th where all non-sale items will be 20% off!!

Wouldn't we all like to spend more time creating our quilts than on performing mental gymnastics in figuring out "How much of this?" or "How big to cut that?" or "How many pieces can I get out of this bigger piece?" Fret no more! I'm happy to announce that we have designed and are making available to you free - for your personal use - a suite of online quilting and fabric calculators on our web site. We've been using them in our shop for the past several weeks and, boy, do they ever save time and effort! We hope you enjoy using them, too!

Looking ahead, adding the calculators is but the first step we are taking in expanding our web site's capabilities as we continue to grow. You'll note that the menu on the left hand side of each page has changed a little and will undergo more changes in the weeks ahead. Currently, you'll see a new menu item called "Resources" and if you place your computer's mouse over it, two sub-menu items will automatically appear: "Favorite Links" and "Calculators".
