Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!

I can't believe that 2008 is just about over and tomorrow it'll be 2009! It's been quite a year and, with our expansion underway, we look forward to more fun, friendship and, of course, fabric! Please note that we will be closed on New Year's Day, but we will be open on January 2nd.

As part of our expansion, I wanted to let you know that Roz Heller has joined our staff as store manager. Roz brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having most recently worked the past 5 years as store manager at Sew Pro's in Escondido. Before that she gained extensive retail experience at May Co. and Stroud's Linen Warehouse, and worked for internationally known quilter Kay England at her Quilt Quarters quilt shop in Indiana. Next time you're in, I'm sure you'll get a chance to meet Roz and say "hello"!

To welcome the New Year Year and to show all of you our appreciation for your patronage this past year, we are having our Annual Anniversary Sale on Saturday, January 10th from 10 - 5 and on Sunday, January 11th from 10 - 4. All non-sale items will be 25% off so stop by and take advantage of the savings!

Our calendar has been updated through February and includes more new classes! (And, take note ... our large classroom will now be in the new suite and so you'll get to enjoy an even better classroom environment!!) New classes we've added include: Quilted Gift Box, Diamond Patch Bag, and Homestead Star. And, don't forget that special guest Vic Dadika from Northcott Fabrics will be presenting Fabric Buyer for a Day. Finally, please note that our ever popular Pizza at Paradise class is being cancelled in January so as not to conflict with the Road to California show. It will be held next in February as usual on the third Friday evening.

In closing, I want to thank all of you for your generous support and friendship. Having a quilt shop has been a dream come true exceeding my wildest expectations. All of us at Quilter's Paradise wish you health, prosperity and happiness in the New Year ... and our New Year's resolution is to make 2009 even better for meeting your quilting needs and desires.
