Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!

I came across a couple of interesting, recent articles on the web that said quilting and other hand crafts are increasing in popularity. In one of the articles, well-known quilting author and teacher Carol Doak said on a trip to New Zealand that "quilting was undergoing a resurgence as more people embraced traditional art forms". (It turns out that Carol will be coming to Quilter's Paradise early next year to teach a workshop.) In addition to helping save money, we've heard many of you say that do-it-yourself quilting projects provide much satisfaction and inner peace, and make for great, special gifts to family and friends.

To help inspire you, we've been receiving lots of new fabric ... just in time with Easter and spring on the horizon. Only the day before yesterday, the poor UPS guy brought in 10 good-sized boxes of fabric in one trip (and probably saw his chiropractor later in the day!). These fabrics are cheery, colorful and delightful with names like Cherry Picked, Bunnies, A Bit of Whimsy and Paper Roses. We've also replenished our flannels with a very cute line called Lullaby Flannel, and have a "gotta see" panel with a little attitude called The Sisterhood of Quilters.
