Connecting People with the Joy of Quilting

Hi <%[First]%> <%[Last]%>,

Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!

It's time once again ... Spring training is over and America's favorite pastime (quilting, not baseball!) is back in full-swing. To celebrate the start of a new season, we'd like you to sing along with us:

Take me out to the quilt shop
Take me out with the crowd
Buy me some fabric right off the rack
I don't care if I never get back
Let me root, root, root for the new stuff
     If it don't come I won’t stop
For it's one, two, three trips and more
     To the old quilt shop!

And with the start of a new season, we have a full schedule of classes coming up that you're sure to score a hit with! Just entering the rotation are:

And, just as there are road games in baseball, we encourage you to get out with your buddies and (surprise!) ... visit quilt shops! From May 2nd - May 9th, eight area quilt shops are participating in a Row Quilt Run where you get a free pattern! And, we're planning a few delights at our shop during this time as well!

In my last newsletter, I announced that it's time once again for our bi-annual Cash for Stash event!! I stated that it's partly in celebration of Earth Day (April 22nd), but it can also alleviate those tax day blues. From Saturday, April 18th through Saturday, April 25th, bring your fabric scraps into our shop and you'll get one Quilter's Paradise dollar for every pound of fabric scraps up to 30 pounds. You may then spend your Quilter's Paradise dollars for any merchandise in the shop. We will donate the fabric scraps to several local organizations who make charity quilts. (Please note that we ask that donated scraps be approximately fat quarter size or larger.) We received over 1,200 pounds of fabric during our previous Cash for Stash event last September, so make cleaning up your stash part of your "Spring Cleaning" and help us out!

See our Featured Items page for a quick taste of the new fabrics and notions that have been coming in. (Unfortunately, looking at a web page - like watching a baseball game on TV - can't give the full picture. Only by being at the ballpark, er, quilt shop, can you get the full experience of sight, sound, touch and smell.) So, hope to see you soon at "the old quilt shop"!
