Connecting People with the Joy of Quilting
|
Hi <%[First]%> <%[Last]%>,
Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!
As promised in my last newsletter,
this newsletter is brought to you by the letter "C".
Why?
Because we're getting Christmas and holiday fabric in!
Just in is the complete line of over 40 bolts of
I Believe in Santa
(pictured to the right)
designed by the one and only Nancy Halvorsen for Benartex,
as well as beautiful selections from Andover Fabrics.
(More is on the way!)
And we've got over 20 bolts of
Halloween fabric.
To top it off,
as Billy Crystal is famous for saying "Mahvahlous! Simply Mahvahlous!",
we've replenished the very popular Marbleous! fabric line
and added another dozen bolts to our already large Fairy Frost collection.
Even with the summer months fast upon us,
I think you'd agree with me that time is very precious.
So you'll be seeing a number of new kits, some laser-cut, coming out in the weeks ahead
that will save you a ton of time and effort!
Just this week we released the
Willow Beauty,
Golden Rays, and the very cute
Avocato
kits.
(We are the avocado capital of the world after all, aren't we?!)
With budgets being challenged in these times,
my staff and I get a lot of questions along the lines:
"Do you offer a discount?"
The short answer is "Of course!",
but I wondered if people knew and took advantage of all the great ways
they could save money and stretch their dollar at our shop.
Things like our Treasure Card, class discount, birthday discount, Fat Quarter Thursdays, Bolt of the Day, coupons ... and more!
So, for you, our valued customer, we've added a
Maximizing Your Dollar's Value
web page to our site.
Most important to us is that we want you be successful on your projects!
We'll gladly help you pick the right fabric, figure out how much you need, select a pattern, and offer "how-to" tips.
And if you have any questions or requests, just ask away!
Speaking of questions,
what's new for classes?
Answer: plenty!
First, we have a new teacher ... Aiko Rogers who I'm sure many of you know!
Aiko is an award-winning quilter who does beautiful appliqué work.
She'll be teaching
Aiko's Appliqué
and her first project will be Poinsettia Vase.
Next, two of our regular teachers, Lyn Mann and Carol Kaplan,
have just scheduled classes with us.
Lyn will be teaching
Jean's Star in June and
Star Lite Star Bright in July.
Carol is returning with her very popular
City Bag - Towne Purse
class.
And, both Wendy Mathson and Karen Cunagin will be teaching
Palomar College Classes
at our shop starting in June ... cost is free and you'll have great fun in air-conditioned comfort over the summer.
(To register for a Palomar Class,
you can simply show up on the first day here at our shop.)
What's a newsletter without bringing my husband, Mark, into it?
As many of you know, he's our web master at Quilter's Paradise
(although he would like to simply drop the word "web" - fat chance!).
He's been enhancing his web programming skills
and decided to design a game called "Quilt Word Scramble" that's actually pretty fun and tests your quilting terminology knowledge!
Just go to our web site at
www.quiltersparadiseesc.com.
Place your mouse over the "About Us" menu item and then click on "Fun Stuff".
When that page comes up, click on the "Quilt Word Scramble" link.
Or just click
here.
Then find out if you're up to it!
For a taste of what you'll face, unscramble this word:
ppqluaie
.
Good luck ... and have fun!
To conclude, please note that in honor and observance of our men and women in service, both past and present,
we will be closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day.
We are open this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday.
Please have a safe and wonderful holiday -
and may our troops, wherever they may be - come home safe!
