Connecting People with the Joy of Quilting
|
Hi <%[First]%> <%[Last]%>,
Hello, my Quilters in Paradise!
Just around the corner is a quilter's dream road trip!
Yup, the
2009 Southern California Quilt Run
is coming up soon on July 9 - 12 and July 16 - 19.
All 42 participating shops will have a gift basket prize worth $300
and the grand prize is a trip for 2 to Paducah, Kentucky in April, 2010!
So, mark your calendars, call your friends and arrange your car pools 'cause you won't want to miss this!
Speaking of fun, I'm having a blast with my laser cutter
especially when there are cute patterns to work from that people really like.
Such is the case with the Garden Patch CatsTM series of patterns.
Six patterns have been released with 9 more planned in the future ...
and of the six, we've got 3 already laser cut:
Avocato,
Boscat, and
Stalker.
The other three, Kitt'ney Bean, Pumpkat and Walla Walla Kitty,
will all be kitted (pardon the pun!) next week.
It's commonly thought that Santa makes only one stop at each place he visits.
Well, I guess we must be lucky because Christmas/holiday fabric keeps coming in!
Just arrived is an absolutely stunning holiday fabric collection from Hoffman Fabrics
including a gorgeous selection of blue fabrics.
All told, we have over 150 bolts of holiday fabrics to choose from -
for all those quilts, wall hangings, table runners and napkins that await your creative touch!
Another favorite holiday, Halloween, beckons with "witches and pumpkins and ghosts, oh my!"
Well-known and talented local designer Pearl Pereira has done it again with her charming
Baltimore Halloween
and
Candy Cauldron
patterns.
It's that time of the month again so our web master, Mark, has updated
the
class schedule
through July
with some really cool and fun classes.
Aiko Rogers is making her debut at Quilter's Paradise with
Aiko's Appliqué,
and Betty Alofs is teaching an absolutely gorgeous
Floral Fantasies Hibiscus class.
Carol Kaplan is returning with her popular
City Bag / Towne Purse class
as is Michelle Howard with her very creative
Fabric Baskets class.
And don't forget ...
if you want to use one of our classrooms to work on a project or meet with friends,
just give us a call to work out a time.
As the locals say, "Mi casa es su casa".
You're always welcome and there's no charge for using the room!
