Born to Go Run
by
Mark Tiedeman of Quilter's Paradise

Quilt runs, aka shop hops, play an important role in quilters' lives and the social fabric of the quilting world.
They're a chance for quilters to get out of the house, spend quality time with friends and/or family members,
and see what's new in the quilt shops in a given geographic area.
Quilt runs offer the opportunity for a quilter to let "their hair down", get a little crazy, and explore their wild side.
With the anticipation of a sense of adventure, sunny skies, and rockin' and rollin' down the highway,
what better song to get the juices flowing and the heart beating faster than the 1968 classic Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf?
With the guitars blaring, keyboards jamming and drums pounding,
sing these words to that classic tune and enjoy the run!!

Get your motor runnin' Head out on the highway Lookin' for some new stuff And whatever comes our way Yeah cruisin' to make it happen Take fabric in a love embrace See all that there is and let Smiles explode on your face I like play and prizes Shops packed full of wonder Racin' to the next shop And accumulating plunder Yeah cruisin' to make it happen Take fabric in a love embrace See all that there is and let Smiles explode on your face Like a true quilter's chum We were born, born to go run We will drive 'til done Never so much fun Born to go run Born to go run |
