Jelly roll rugs have been "all the rage" over the past year or so. They're fun to make and the same technique you use to make rugs can also be used to make placemats, coasters, purse handles - and more! We've made it even easier by introducing two new products.
First is our
CutRite 1-1/4 Inch Wide Poly Batting Strip Roll
.
Because this batting strip is half the width of other batting strips,
you save a lot of time and effort doing the turning to make the tube.
Plus, the poly material provides a firmer, thicker and more uniform fill consistency than cotton.
Second is our
CutRite HandiGuide for Strips
.
It centers the batting strip on the jelly roll strip as you sew eliminating the need for time-consuming and tedious pinning.
It works with both 2-1/2" batting strips and our 1-1/4" batting strips.
Take a look at our short HandiGuide video to see how to use this handy tool. And, see how younger kids can get in on the fun by watching Making a Jelly Roll Placemat with Grandma !
