They do NOT add an extra "just in case" amount such as if a cutting mistake is made or the amount of fabric provided by the retailer is not cut correctly. The user of the calculator is responsibile for determining if they want to add additional fabric to the calculation and, if so, how much.

Fabric Measurement Conversion Converts between yardage measurements in fraction form and decimal form, inches and centimeters.
Backing and Batting Calculator Determines how much yardage is needed to make a backing given a quilt's dimensions. It also may be used to determine how much batting is needed given a quilt's dimensions.
Diagonally PIeced Backing Calculator Determines how much fabric yardage is needed to make a backing for a quilt assuming that the backing is diagonally pieced. This method uses less fabric than traditional pieced backings when the quilt backing width (including overage) is 1.5 times the width of fabric or less.
Binding Calculator Calculates the binding length and the amount of fabric required to bind your quilt given the quilt's dimensions (width and length).
Border Yardage Calculator Calculates the amount of fabric required to put a border around your quilt given the quilt's dimensions (width and length) and the border's width. You may specify up to 5 borders.
Piece Count Calculator Determines the number of fixed-sized pieces of fabric that may be cut from a larger piece of fabric.
Strip Calculator Calculates how many yards of fabric are needed given the strip width and the number of strips, or calculates how many strips you can get out of a piece of fabric given the strip width and the fabric yardage.
Pieces to Yardage Area Calculator Determines how much fabric is needed if you want to cut a given number of fixed sized pieces.
Sashing Calculator Determines how much fabric is needed for sashing as well as for cornerstones.
Shape Calculator Calculates shape dimensions and seam allowances for a variety of shapes including squares, triangles, diamonds and hexagons. It can also calculate how many of a shape you can get from a strip of fabric.
Slit N Sew Fabric Calculator Calculates the amount of fabric required to cut a given number of pieces of a given Slit 'N Sew template.
Square in a Square Calculator Calculates the size of the triangles to fit on a square given that square's size.
Set in and Corner Triangle Calculator Calculates the size of the set in and corner triangles given the size of the finished square.
Width of Fabric Yardage Conversion Calculator Calculates the yardage of fabric 2 that is equivalent in size to the yardage of fabric 1 when both fabrics have different widths of fabric.
Project Cost Calculator Calculates how much it will cost for the items you need for a project.
Die Cut Calculator Counts the number of each letter and number in some text.
